You know the fall season and pheasant hunting is upon us when the Elmo DUPs have their pheasant hunters lunch and breakfast. This long standing tradition in Elmo raises money for the DUPs to operate and do community service projects. One of their projects was the entrance sign to the Elmo cemetery. The DUPs pick a different project to raise money for each year.
The pheasant hunters and non-hunters alike seem to enjoy the chance to meet together for a big breakfast and lunch featuring the fine cooking of the Elmo DUPs. Homemade soups and pies as well as super cheeseburgers and a farmers breakfast awaited those who came out to support the DUPs.
