Quilt enthusiasts gathered recently for the Second Annual Coal Country Quilt Show. It was held in the Carbon County fairgrounds exhibit hall. Michelle Anderson, organizer of the quilt show said, “This is a great representation of the independent quilters in this area. area. All the money raised during this show will go back into the show to make next year’s show even better.”
There were 110 quilts on display and seven vendor booths for the quilters to see and visit. Sponsors of the event were: Quilted Treasures, Desertview Credit Union, Pierce Oil, Golden West Industries, Swift’s Stop and Shop, Bodec, Inc., Bruno Engineering, and Utah Power Credit Union.
Quilted Treasures put together a beautiful scrap quilt and donated it to be raffled off during the show. Janet Peacock won the quilt.
