PRICE-Joseph Blanc Garnier, age 92, passed away April 11, 2010 at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation in Price. He was the only son born to French parents, Victoria Blanc and Joseph Garnier Sr. in Price, Utah on Jan. 17, 1918. Joe grew up to be a hard working man of integrity and he was a very devoted son to his loving mother who passed away on Sept. 1, 1995.
Joe was a member of Notre Dame de Lourdes Catholic Church and a life member of the Knights of Columbus and Price Elk’s Lodge # 1550. He was a dedicated member of the United Mine Workers of America for 50 years and he loved reminiscing about mining. Joe loved work and his favorite times were those he shared while working for Red Motor Company as a mechanic.
He enjoyed the old days of dancing at the dance halls and a good glass of Gran Marnier. Joe always, even at 92 was a dapper man who took great pride in his appearance.
Those of us who cared for Joe, loved him and will miss him greatly. For the past five years, Joe resided at the Heirloom Inn.
