Erma Olene Anderson was honored on April 3 by her family for achieving 90 years of life and for being a great mother and grandmother to her family.
Olene was born in Emery, Utah on April 10, 1920 to Marion and Ella Mortensen. She is the second child and second daughter of their five children. She married Robert E. Anderson on March 22, 1941 and later sealed in the Manti Temple and raised three sons in Emery; Robert Eddy (deceased), Randy M. Anderson of Emery and Kerry E. Anderson of West Valley City.
“Mom is a great mother, and wonderful grandmother of eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and soon to be 13. She is an excellent cook, quilter, with many talents that she has passed onto her children and grandchildren. She worked many years as secretary of the Ferron Elementary where she loved being with children and there she retired.
“We wish her a most happy 90th birthday and thank her for her love and devotion to all of us,” said her family. No public social party is planned, but a phone call or a note would be most appreciated in her honor. “We love you mom.”
