SUNNYSIDE-Our loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and beloved friend, Rose Victoria Eaquinto Sacco, passed away peacefully and pain free on Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010 at the age of 82.
She was born July 23, 1927 in Sunnyside, Utah to Biagio “Bill” and Rosa Tallerico Eaquinto, Rose was the fifth of six children.
She married Frank Joseph Sacco on July 24, 1943 at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Sunnyside, where she was a lifelong resident. Rose made a career as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. While her children were school age, she was very active in Notre Dame Catholic School in Price, having served in the PTA and as a Room Mother. She was an excellent cook and loved preparing traditional Italian dinners for family and friends. Rose loved her children, her family, and her many friends and was very proud of her Italian heritage. Despite 13 years of unbearable, chronic pain, Rose remained a loving, caring, concerned mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend.
Survived by her three children, Frank L. (Toni) Sacco, East Carbon City; Rosemarie (Jim) Carter, Murray; Fred J. (Dee) Sacco, West Valley City; sister, Mary Eaquinto, Sunnyside; brother, James (Katie) Eaquinto, East Carbon City; three grandchildren, Lisa Marie (J.L.) Parker, Texas; Frankie and Josh Sacco, Price; four great- grandchildren, Joshua and Frankie Sacco; James Lynn and Isabel Parker; with another great-grandchild due this month.
Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years; her parents; infant brother, Joseph; sisters and brothers in law, Phyllis (Jay) Pagano and Josephine (Jack) Jensen; nephew, Chris Jensen.
Funeral Mass, Friday, Jan. 22, 2010, 10 a.m. Good Shepherd Catholic Church.
Vigil service, Thursday evening 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in East Carbon. Family will be at the church Thursday and Friday one hour prior to service. Committal service, Price City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Good Shepherd Catholic Church in East Carbon.
