OGDEN/PRICE-Janet Mischelle Pate, age 39 of Ogden, passed away on Aug. 31, 2010 at her home in Ogden after a battle with leukemia. She was the only girl and the youngest of four, born Dec. 22, 1970, in Madisonville, Ky., to Joseph and Joan Pate.
Janet lived in Kentucky until the age of 9 when she and her family moved to Huntington. She attended school in Emery County and graduated from high school. In 1992 she moved to Price where she lived until moving to Ogden five years ago. Janet love to crochet, cross stitch, and she also loved cats. She was proud to be able to see her daughter graduate from high school in 2010. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Jacinda Marie Pate of Huntington; her mother and step-father, Joan and Ed Harrison of Huntington; and two brothers Joey Pate and Jeff Pate both of Henderson, Ky. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Pate; brother, James Pate; and grandparents James and Irene Sisk, Bernard and Opal Pate.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at 1 p.m., at Fausett Mortuary Chapel in Price (680 E. 100 S.) with Pastor Raymond Wead of Canyon Road Church of God of Ogden officiating. A viewing will be held Friday from 12-12:45 p.m. prior to services at Fausett Mortuary in Price. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2010 at 1 p.m. at Reid Walters Funeral Home in Earlington, Ky., with Pastor George Brooks of Southern Missionary Baptist Church of Earlington officiating. A viewing will be held at 12 noon prior the services at Reid Walters Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Mortons Gap, Ky., Friends and family may share memories of Janet and sign the guestbook at www,fausettmortuary.com.
