Roxie Majors Sitterud, 1926 – 2010, age 83, loosened her mortal bonds on June 1, 2010 in Ferron, Utah.
Roxie was born Oct. 13, 1926 in Huntington, Utah to Oscar Virgil and Pearl Lott Majors. She married Harold Sitterud on Jan. 5, 1944, their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS temple on June 12, 1945. They lived in Ogden, Utah for 40 years before returning to their home town, Orangeville, Utah.
Roxie is survived by her children: Michael (Anne) Sitterud of Orangeville; Harold B. Sitterud of Ogden; and Phillip (Bonie) Sitterud of Hooper; two brothers: Bazil Majors of Raymond, Wash. and Lott Majors of Cleveland; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was especially close to her niece Marci Hanks and grandson Nathan Sitterud. The family would like to extend a special appreciation to the staff at Emery County Care and Rehabilitation Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Russell Majors and her sister LeAnn Dawson.
Funeral Services were held at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel at 620 N. Main Street in Huntington on Friday, June 4, 2010 at 11 a.m., with a viewing from 9:45-10:30 a.m. prior to the services. Interment followed in the Orangeville Cemetery under the trusted care of the Heritage Funeral Home.
