WELLINGTON-William “Bill” Kenneth Cook, age 70, passed away June 18, 2010 at his home in Wellington. He was born Oct. 26, 1939 in Duchesne, Utah to Kenneth and Pearl White Cook.
Married Dorthey Olsen in Las Vegas, Nev.
Bill was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Bill was also a member of the V.F.W. Miner’s Post #2379 and the Price American Legion Post #3.
He honorably served his country in the US Army for 11 years while completing two tours in Vietnam. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, pool, collecting clocks and sports memorabilia.
He is survived by his wife, Dorthey Cook, Wellington; four daughters and one son, Vera (Michael) Jackson, Folsom, Calif., Dee (Jodi) Hadden, West Valley, Gaylene Burgess, Carbonville, Wendi Burris, Taylorsville, Kisty (Mike) Hardy, Kearns; four brothers, Ron (Carol) Cook, Price, Jay Cook, Price, George (Sarah) Cook, Wellington, Howard (Shirley) Cook, Price, special friend, Geneva Roark; 12 loving grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Thursday, June 24, 2010 from 4-5 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Friends are welcome to share memories of Bill online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net. Interment Utah Veterans Memorial Park at a later date. In memory of Bill please no flowers.
