It may not be your idea of a good time, but the Emery County scouts endured the weather and held their annual Klondike winter camp at Joe’s Valley.
They learned the basics of winter camping and survival skills. They learned to build fires. The scouts tried ice fishing and cross country skiing as well as a snow shoeing activity where they tested their skills in walking across the snowy landscape in show shoes.
It may have been cold and snowy, but it didn’t dampen the spirits of the scouters.
