Brandon Louis Burr was born on July 29, 1973 to Steven Lamont Burr and Shauna Tsouras Burr. Our beloved father, brother, son and friend died on Jan. 27, 2011 in Huntington, Utah at the age of 37.
He was a graduate of Bingham High and later studied welding at Salt Lake Community College. He was married to Cami Haycock and had two boys Austin and Colton Burr of Salt Lake, later divorced. He met the love of his life Jill Dyches Burr on the rodeo trail and was married a short time later. They had three kids Bodee, Hadley and Baylee.
Together they built a small ranch in Spring City, Utah and loved raising and training performance horses. He loved teaching the rodeo life to his kids and anyone that would listen. He was a hard working coal miner and worked at Energy West Coal mine for several years. He loved riding bareback horses, hunting, and had a heart for his friends. He will be missed by so many, he took a piece of our hearts when he passed. He was preceded in death by his father Steven Burr.
He is survived by his children, brother Ryan (Joey) Burr, sister Tammy (Corey) Johnson and several friends. A memorial service will be held in his honor on Saturday Feb. 5, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. at the Freedom Worship Center. 5536 South 1900 West Taylorsville, Utah. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up for his children at any Wells Fargo bank in the name of Brandon Burr Memorial Fund. He will be missed, Good Ride Cowboy, Good Ride!
