Emery wrestlers compete in super regionals at Richfield

Emery wrestlers participated in the Super Regionals in Richfield at the Sevier Valley Center. The top eight places in each weight would advance to the state tournament at the Utah Valley University. In addition to Emery’s region foes of Manti, Delta, North Sanpete, Juab and Richfield they wrestled against teams from the southern region as well including Hurricane. Emery wrestlers would send six onto the state tournament including Cezly Collard in eighth place at 112 pounds; Spencer Fehlberg in fourth place at 119 pounds; Clay Collard in third at 152 pounds; Chet Funk in third at 160 pounds; and Nathan Mecham in fourth at 171 pounds. Brett Sorensen also advanced to the state tournament at 171 pounds. Other wrestlers at region included: Tyson Stout, Kennidee Byington, Tice Guymon, Dillion Walls, Cole Guymon, Paden Wells, Adam Brinkworth, Jace Winn, Taylor Weihing, Mike Sitterud, Nagel Vieira, Tyler Dasch, George Sorensen and Cody Dale.
