PRICE-Patricia Forrester Hammond, age 85, passed away May 4, 2011 in Price. Pat was born June 1, 1925 in Price, Utah to Sheldon and Muriel Cleveland Anderson.
On Jan. 2, 1946 she married John C. “Jack” Forrester Jr., in Price, Utah and after 40 wonderful years Jack passed away. She later married Joe Hammond Jr. in Price and they enjoyed many years before his passing in December of 1998.
Pat was a lifelong resident of Carbon County where she was a member of the Price Ladies of Elks and the Carbon Country Club. She was a member of Beauceant and Dansante where she made many wonderful relationships over the years. Pat was always on the go and her greatest enjoyment was playing with the Bridge group.
She is survived by her son, Jack (Janet) Forrester, grandson, John “J.C.” Forrester IV, all of Salt Lake City; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, husbands, John C. “Jack” Forrester Jr. and Joe Hammond Jr., two sisters, Mary Bon and Edna McSweeney.
The family would like to thank Pat’s wonderful friends and the staff of the Heirloom Inn.
Memorial service, Friday, May 13, 2011, 1 p.m., at Ascension St. Matthew’s Church (522 Homestead Blvd.) Price, Utah. Family will be at the church Friday one hour prior to service. Interment, Price City Cemetery. In remembrance of Pat, the family would prefer contributions to a charity of your choice.
