HUNTINGTON – Donald Lloyd O’Neil, age 62, died Nov. 24, 2011 in Moffat County, Colo. He was born Dec. 18, 1948 to Richard John and Thora K. Pickup O’Neil. He married Jerrylyn Bradley in Manti, Utah. They later divorced.
He was raised in Carbon County, Utah. He graduated from Carbon High School in 1968. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and served a two-year mission in England. Lloyd loved horses, hunting and the outdoors. He worked at Kaiser’s mine in Sunnyside, Utah and for Utah Power and Light Company in various positions. However, his passion was driving big rigs and he spent the last several decades doing…and died doing what he loved.
He is survived by his mother, Thora K. O’Neil of Price, Utah; daughters Jeanie Lyn (Travis) Christensen of Ephraim, Utah; Marsha Dawn (Chris) Nielson of Manti, Utah; son Donald John (Amber) O’Neil of Price, Utah, grandchildren: Trevor, Trace, Kimberley, Jessie, Brayden and soon to arrive Eric. Also survived by brothers Michael (Linda), Lynn (Cindy), sister Kathy (Phillip) Medley and many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father Richard John O’Neil and nephew Jade O’Neil.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Wellington First Ward Chapel (50 North 100 East – Wellington, Utah.) A family and friends gathering will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Price City Cemetery.
