EAST CARBON- Our loving mother and grandmother, Fern Lenore Hunsaker Jones Mecham, age 85, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011.
She was born and raised in Sunnydell, Idaho on March 29, 1926 to Jennie Hawley and Joseph Hunsaker.
She met and married Lynn “W” Jones in Orangeville, Utah, they had seven children Myrna (Ben) Mead, Thayde (Carol) Jones, Ravenna (Hal) Firth, Joseph, Randy, Kyle and Reggie Jones.
She was blessed with 23 grandchildren, 58 great- grandchildren and 22 great- great-grandchildren.
She met and married Klell Mecham, the love of her life and they had many happy years together.
Fern was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was an avid doll collector. She also loved gardening, writing poems, making jewelry, and collecting rocks. Fern had a special love for her kitty cats, Zipper, Baby Baby, and Leta.
She is survived by her children Myrna, Thayde, Ravenna and Kyle; daughter-in-law, Lorie Jones.
Preceded in death by her parents, husbands Lynn “W” Jones and Klell Mecham; sons, Joseph, Reggie and Randy Jones, four sisters and one brother, four grandchildren and one great- granddaughter.
Funeral service, Thursday, April 14, 2011, 12 noon, Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will receive friends Thursday morning from 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Cleveland City Cemetery.
