A great two days of rodeo took place in Emery County on Friday and Saturday. Friday the Carbon High rodeo team hosted their event at the Castle Dale arena due to construction at their home arena. Saturday morning dawned crisp and clear as hundreds of competitors joined in the Emery High rodeo. They competed in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, calf roping, team roping, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling and the ever popular bull riding.
Three Emery High senior rodeo members were honored at the rodeo including Kashe Potter, Erin Gordon and Carson Cox. A beautiful quilt donated by Beulah Oveson was raffled off to raise money for the Emery High Rodeo club. Kevin Gordon is the rodeo advisor for the team.
