HUNTINGTON/ROY- Shane D. McArthur, 52, returned to Heavenly Father and his parents March 30, 2011 in Roy, Utah. He was born in Price, Utah on Oct. 5, 1958 to Shirl C. and Bessie Sitterud McArthur. He graduated from Emery High School and also took some welding classes which he enjoyed. He was also a ranch hand and enjoyed ranching, rodeo, and horses. He was a very free spirit and enjoyed traveling a lot. Shane had a good sense of humor and enjoyed being around people. He appreciated the love and concern of his parents, brothers and sisters.
Shane is survived by his children Lacie (Jeremy) Cowley of Price, ShaLane (Ross) Christiansen of Emery, and Jesse (Shanda) Reed McArthur of Huntington, along with four grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Shirlee (Ron) Knighton of Centerville, Utah, Sheila (Glenn) Sebring of Huntington, Sharol (Don) Childs of Ferron, his brother Stuart (Carol) McArthur of Parker, Colo., and a sister-in-law, Maureen McArthur of Huntington. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Scott McArthur, and a nephew Bradley Sebring.
A graveside service was held Friday, April 1, 2011 at 12 p.m. (noon) at the Huntington City Cemetery where interment followed under the trusted care of Heritage Funeral Home. Friends may go on line at www.heritagefuneralhomeutah.com to sign the guest book and share a memory of Shane for the family.
