GRAND JUCTION – Connie Ella Roth (Coakley/Wilberg)went to be with Jesus on Sept. 1, 2011 with her husband by her side.
Being an ovarian cancer survivor for 24 years and when the cancer returned this year she continued to show her same incredible strength and courage.
She was born in Price, Utah on Oct. 25, 1946 to Faun Coakley. She had a wonderful childhood in Orangeville, Utah. She married Dennis Wilberg in 1964 and raised two beautiful daughters and later divorced. She married Loren Roth in 1986, and had 25 very special years together.
Connie was a very selfless, loving wife, mom, grandma and friend. She was gracious and kind, always thinking of others and their needs first.
Connie enjoyed all outdoor activities whether it was the Jeep safari in Moab to 4-wheeling, rafting, or boating at Lake Powell. When it came to indoor fun she loved the times bowling, shopping, or playing cards with loved ones. Her greatest enjoyment was just spending time with her grandchildren and loved ones.
She was a great seamstress; making her daughters outfits to doll clothes to blankets even for the pets, with much love. She had a wonderful love for animals with fur but she claimed to not like the ones with feathers. You that knew her know exactly what that means.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Julie Mariano July 26, 2011 and her mother Faun Coakley April 5, 2011. She is survived by her husband Loren Roth, daughter Shellie Etcheverry, son in-law Allen Etcheverry, Victor Mariano, grandchildren Justin Etcheverry, Alisha Oest, David Oest, Emilie Mariano, Vincent Mariano and a great-grandbaby on the way, and numerous extended family.
A celebration of Connie’s life will be on Friday Sept. 9, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene at 3595 Front Street, Palisade, Colo.
