Third Annual Birds and Birdies Four Man Scramble and Buddy Shoot
June 10 at 9 p.m. 50 bird buddy shoot at Emery County trap range.
June 11 at 9 a.m. 9 hole 4 man scramble at Millsite Golf Course. Lunch will be provided after the tournament.
Fees: $50 per person or $200 per team, limited to the first 18 teams. Practice and late registration from 7-9 p.m. at the Trap Range. Registration forms can be picked up at Emery County Recreation office, J & D Auto or Millsite Golf Course. Orangeville City
The city is having a problem with vandalism in the park. Orangeville officials say, “We would like to curb the problem by getting a notice out to those using our parks or driving by if they see something going on that is out of place to report it.
“Some of the problems we are having are the pad locks are being cut off from the power boxes or power boxes broken into and destroyed, swings being cut off, smoking in the restrooms, making big messes in the restrooms, destroying roofs of the park buildings and pavilions, picnic tables being moved so kids can climb onto the roofs to skate off the building or similar activity, destoring the trees and bushes. The city is asking parents to be alert while at the park in what is going on and reports immediately when you see any of these things happening or destruction going on. Remember this is your parks and tax dollars that is being violated. Please call the Sheriffs office at 381-2404 or Orangeville City at 748-2651.

Golf tourney
Carbon County employees are proud to sponsor the second annual Mike Ballard Memorial Charity golf tournament. All proceeds go to Habitat for Humanity. Tourney on June 25 at the Carbon Country Club Golf course. Sign up with Carbon Co. Rec at 636-3702. Cost is $37 per person which includes carts. $12 cart fee with current gold pass. Paid directly to pro shop. Limit of 32 teams. Entry fee $100 per team which includes dinner. All other donations will be welcome.
