PRICE-Oral Dean Pendleton, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, passed away June 11, 2011 in Price, Utah after a courageous battle from the effects of a stroke suffered 17 years ago.
Dean was born Dec. 25, 1924 in Ogden, Utah to Oral and Josie Flitton Pendleton. He married his English Rose, Audrey Leeder on Oct. 24, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple and they had six children.
Dean loved God, his family, country and baseball and was a great teacher of the eternal principles of all four. He was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Western States Mission 1949-1951.
Dean is survived by his wife Audrey; siblings, Dick (Evelyn) Pendleton, Bonnie (Terry) Dorton, Lloyd (Mary Beth) Pendleton; brother-in-law, Roy (Margaret) Leeder. He is also survived by his children, Kathryn (Bob) Bartleson, Rich (Gloria) Pendleton, Josee (Mike) Petersen, Faun Pendleton; daughter-in-law, Melody Pendleton; 33 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is reunited with his children, Heather and Dean; his sister, Kathryn; and his parents.The family would like to express appreciation to the staff at Pinnacle Care Center and Rocky Mountain Hospice for the kindness and excellent care they provided.
Funeral service, Saturday, June 18, 2011, 12-Noon, Price Stake Center, (150 South 500 East) Price. Family will receive friends Saturday morning from 10-11:40 a.m. at the church.
