PRICE-Douglas Burke Johnstun, age 69, passed away March 14, 2011.
Born Dec. 18, 1941 in Price, Utah to Burke and June Reynolds Johnstun.
Doug graduated from Carbon High School in 1960 with honors. He proudly served his country in The United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. In 1970, he graduated from Utah State University.
Married Pamela Fasselin in 1966, they later divorced in 1978. After returning home to Price, Doug rejoined the Peczuh Printing Company until his retirement in 2009.
In 1981, he married Linda Bittick Scartezina.
Doug had many talents and interests in life including hunting, shooting, archery, fishing, oil painting, music, golfing, wood working, training his dogs and spending time with family. He served his community as a member of the Kiwanis, an officer of the Price Elks Lodge and served on the board of directors of the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce.
Survived by his wife, Linda Johnstun; children, Jodie Scartezina, Tracy Johnstun Stephenson, Edward Scartezina (Lindsay), and Burke Johnstun (Tia); grandchildren, Alexa, Bella, Olivia, Alexander and Anthony; mother-in-law, Charlotte Bittick; brother-in-law Daniel Bittick (Jodi) and the Peczuh Family.
Preceded in death by his parents Burke and June Johnstun, and father-in-law Thurston Bittick.
Graveside service Friday, March 18, 2011, 11 a.m, Wellington City Cemetery. Friends were encouraged to join the family at the graveside only.
