HELPER-Gloria Ann Callor, passed away peacefully in her home on March 3, 2011, at the age of 74 while surrounded by her loving family and dear friends.
She was born Feb. 12, 1937 in Consumers, Utah to William and Martha Green Jones.
She married the love of her life, William Callor Sr., July 20, 1986 in Lake Tahoe, Calif. They shared 25 wonderful years together along with the love of their 15 grandchildren and 16 great- grandchildren. She was anxiously awaiting the arrival of two great-grandsons.
Gloria was raised in Helper by her mother and adopted father, Raymond George McGonigal.
She was a graduate of Wasatch Academy. After receiving her LPN license she began working for the Carbon County Nursing Home and later for Dr. AR Demman in Helper until she retired from the nursing profession. She was a league bowler for many years.
Her favorite pastime was sitting with her sweetheart Bill on their front porch watching the hummingbirds drink from their colorful feeders. Gloria enjoyed gardening with Bill, and growing one of the largest vegetable and flower gardens in Helper.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, William (Nelda) Callor, Edward (Lenora) Callor; grandchildren, William Brandon (Katy) Callor, Melanie (Isaac) Bott, Amy (Brandon) Maughan, Nickolas Callor, Sara Callor, Edward Callor Jr., Clifton Callor, Valerie Callor, Melissa Ricketts, Paul Ricketts, Adam Ricketts; and 16 beautiful great-grandchildren whom she adored.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Erica Callor.
Funeral service, Tuesday, March 8, 2011, 1 p.m., Mitchell Funeral Home, (233 East Main Street) in Price. Family will be at Mitchell’s Tuesday one hour prior to service. Interment, Mt.
