PRICE- Irene Lucille Milano Cripps “Grandma Rene”, age 79 passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on Friday, March 4, 2011. She was born Oct. 17, 1931 in Price to Lee and Gladys Ross Milano. Married Walter Cripps on June 22, 1952 in Helper, they later divorced.
Irene was an avid hunter, fisherman, and a great outdoorsman. She could spend hours on a boat trying to catch that 10 pounder, or sitting on a ridge looking for that trophy buck. She always had time to play catch with her kids and grandkids, leaving them with many memories. Irene was always up for a card game or horse shoes and she was an excellent trap shooter. Actually Irene loved anything she could bet a buck on. She worked at Mont Harmon Junior High and Creekview Elementary as a custodian until she finally retired. Irene was loved by anyone who knew her and she’ll be dearly missed by all.
Survived by her daughter, Karrie; two sons, Ron and Jerry (Kaye); her sister, Netalina (Blaine) Brackus; brother, Lee (Betty) Milano; brothers-in-law, Merrill Jones and Wally Llewelyn; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Milano; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
