EAST CARBON- Jacques Dion Van Liere, age 52, passed away July 15, 2011 at his home in East Carbon.
He was born Sept. 10, 1958 in Sacramento County, California to Jacob and Marguerite Madsen Val Liere.
Married Annette Starzel on Sept. 9, 2006 in East Carbon.
Jacques enjoyed spending time with his wife and taking long walks. He loved playing with his cats, Tongo and Racko Beet. Jacques loved cooking and doing yard work. He will be dearly missed by all.
Survived by his wife, Annette S. Van Liere, East Carbon; daughter, Jamie Benyo, St. George, Utah; brothers and sister, Kevin Van Liere, Eric (Lee Ann) Van Liere, both of Salt Lake City; Tonya (Kurt) Rakozy, New York, N.Y.; brother-in-law, Louie Starzel; sister-in-law, Betty Jo Franco, both of East Carbon; nine grandchildren, Anthony, Brooklynn, Tanner, Ashton, Madisyn, Taya, Casey Jones, Nicholas Jagger and Kaya Lillium.
Preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service, Friday, July 22, 2011, 10 a.m., Mitchell Funeral Home. Family will be at Mitchell’s Thursday evening 7:30-8:30 p.m. and Friday one hour prior to service.
