EAST CARBON-Shane D. Baldwin, age 47, passed away on July 18, 2011 in East Carbon, Utah. Shane was born on May 11, 1964 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Dwight Prophet Baldwin and Karen Marie Cawley Dickson; he married Lori Bingham on Oct. 20, 1990 in Elko, Nev.
Shane was raised in Holbrook, Ariz. and Victorville, Calif. where he attended Victor Valley High School; he excelled in golf and was on the team, his mother was very proud of his golfing accomplishments.
Shane loved being with his family, especially in the outdoors, camping and fishing. He never met a stranger, always a friend to everyone. He worked as a fitter/welder in the structural steel business for 25 years. Shane was proud of his accomplishments that he was able to make from fabricating steel. He will be remembered as an honest, hardworking family man who loved teasing his nieces and nephews. Shanes life was his Family.
He is survived by his mother: Karen Dickson, of East Carbon, Utah, children: Ryan Baldwin and Jessica Baldwin both of Rigby, Idaho, brother: Troy (Denise) Baldwin of Kearns, Utah, Aunts: Karla (Terry) Young of East Carbon, Utah, Sharon Cawley of Price, Utah, many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father: Dwight, grandparents: Joseph and Mary Cawley, uncles: Joseph Cawley, Fred Mooney, Lou Peppills, and Bill Mooney, aunts: Carrie Peppillis, Della Mooney, grandmother: Inez Baldwin and a cousin Rick Mooney.
Graveside services were held on Friday, July 22, 2011 at 12 Noon at the Cliffview Cemetery (2100 East 800 North). A viewing was held on Friday, from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Price prior to the graveside.
