Our beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, Clint Scott Davis, 38, passed away unexpectedly on Feb. 16, 2012 in South Salt Lake, Utah. He leaves a void in many lives that will never be filled on this Earth.
He was born May 11, 1973 in Bountiful, Utah to Cristy Lyn Davis and W. Scott Davis, the oldest of three children. He spent his childhood years in Orangeville, Utah and loved the people and landscape of Emery County.
The family relocated to Delta, Utah where Clint both graduated from Delta High School in 1991 and he met the love of his life, Kelly Kennedy in December 1989. There was no one else for either of them from that point forward, and they married on Aug. 12, 1994 in Salt Lake City, Utah enjoying the happiest marriage anyone around them knew. Their union was blessed with two wonderful children, who were the light and life of their father’s eyes – daughter Adrian Louise Davis born on Feb. 14, 1999 and son Jesse Clint Davis on April 18, 2006.
Clint loved everything about being outdoors and enjoying the Lord’s creations. He loved hunting and fishing and was more at home camping in the mountains than anywhere else on Earth. But above all else, Clint lived for his family. His children would wait eagerly each night for him to return home from work to jump in his arms and greet him and report to him on their day. Clint was a master painter by trade with a true expertise in his field. He spent many years as a painter at Alpine Auto Restoration in South Salt Lake.
Clint had a quiet, easygoing personality that was impossible not to love. He loved music and providing for his family and often spent what little time he had away from work traveling to Delta or Emery County to gather with others he loved.
We are certain a happy and joyous reunion is taking place as Clint is reunited with and preceded in death by his grandparents, Earl W. and Luana Amussen England, Hill G. Davis and Beverly Jean Bird. Also his loyal and faithful companion, his dog Porsche.
He is survived by his wife Kelly Kennedy Davis of Salt Lake City, daughter Adrian Louise and son Jesse Clint. His parents, Cristy Lyn Davis and W. Scott Davis. Sisters Lisa (Clark) Lawlor of Provo, Utah and Julie (Jared) Gale of Bountiful, Utah. Nieces and nephews: Daxon, Jocelyn, and Ava Gale, and Bradford, Lori, and Owen Lawlor. Also survived by his extended family who loved him unconditionally, grandmother-in-law Louise Randall Allen and mother-in-law, Sherida Parkinson of both Delta and Holladay; sister-in-law, Marla Kennedy of Salt Lake City; brothers-in-law Russell Allen Kennedy of Cedar City, Utah and Jerrold Max Kennedy of Salt Lake City, as well as countless friends and associates he knew and encountered in this life.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive in Holladay, Utah. A visitation for family and friends will be held one hour prior to services, also at the mortuary. A graveside service will be held at 4 p.m. at the Orangeville City Cemetery located at 1300 West Cemetery Road in Orangeville, Utah, all under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
“Daddy, we wish you could be here; we will never stop wishing you were here, we know you know that we love you and always will!” Until we see you again, love Adrian and Jesse.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Adrian Louise and Jesse Clint Davis Education Fund which is being set up at Zions Bank. The family wishes to express their most sincere gratitude for the outpouring of support and love at this time – and always.
