HUNTINGTON- Terri Rae Cook lost her battle with cancer on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012. She was born June 8, 1951 in Kenilworth, Utah to Arthur Bliss “Bill” and Erma Larue Cunningham Birch. Terri married Willas Blair Cook on June 14, 1970. Terri was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter- day Saints. She worked for nearly 20 years at Maverik in Huntington. Terri adored children, was loved by all and made friends everywhere she went. Terri was always so proud of every single one of her grandchildren and she loved spending time with them. She loved family gatherings and visiting with those she loved. Terri enjoyed fishing, camping and swimming, but her passions were cooking, baking, and canning. She adored Shirley Temple movies and old western movies. Terri was so selfless and kind, even to strangers, she enjoyed pleasing people. She will be greatly missed by all.
Survived by her loving husband, Willas Blair Cook, Huntington; daughter, Dana (Chris) Guymon, Huntington; daughter, LaDonna Evans, Fruita, Colo; son, Chris (Jan) Cook, Price; mother, Erma Larue Birch, Huntington; sisters, Gloria (Joel) O’Neil, Illinois, Debra (Allen) Wilken, Riverton, Linda Kay (Marc) Stevens, Huntington, Evaline (Joel) White, Huntington, Veronica (David) Ames, Huntington; brother, Jerry (Mindy) Birch, Huntington; nine grandchildren, Mackenzie, Morgan, Jorden, Gentry, Hal, Justin, Tyrell, Hesston and Trey; one great grandchild, James.
Preceded in death by her father, Arthur Bliss “Bill” Birch; in laws, Phineas and Deane Cook; daughter, LeAnna Cook; brother, Gary Birch; sister in law, Kathy Birch; brother, Allen Birch; brother in law, Gerald Cook.
Funeral Service, Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, 10 a.m. Huntington LDS Stake Center. Family will receive friends Friday evening from 7-8:30 p.m. and Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m. prior to service at the Church. Interment, Huntington City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Mitchell Funeral Home of Price where friends are welcome daily and may share memories of Terri online at www.mitchellfuneralhome.net.
