"Christine Watkins I earned a bachelors degree and a masters degree, and as a former educator I know very well how much a good education can change a person's life. I will continue to fight for more educations dollars for our rural schools. I support small businesses that are vital to our rural economy. I support coal mining/oil and gas industries. All of these energy producers provide good employment opportunities for our community members. As a member of the Natural Resources Committee I actively support all efforts to sustain agriculture. Tourism is important, I will continue my fight for our State Parks and keeping Green River State Park open. I am a firm believer in multiple use of our public lands. Hunting and fishing, camping and hiking, ATV designated trails; these all are important to our quality of life. I was successful in passing a bill that requires the Miner's Hospital to be accountable for the funds that are being spent. No matter your social or economic status, or issues you believe important, I treat all of my constituents who come to me for assistance with dignity and respect. I have earned the respect and admiration of the legislators with whom I work. "
