CASTLE DALE, UTAH: Matt Larsen, age 25, passed away Dec. 15, 2012 in Orangeville, Utah. He was born March 11, 1987 in Payson, Utah, to Ronald Larsen and Dianna Weeks Powell.
He was raised in Castle Dale and graduated from Emery High School in 2005. He lived in Salt Lake City and various states along the East Coast during his time installing security systems. He had many professions some included: installing home security systems, lift operations at Snowbird ski resort, and professional bag boy at the Food Ranch.
His hobbies included beating anyone in video games (especially Mike Blomquist), snowboarding, camping, cute girls, his dogs, and hanging out with his friends. His interests were computers and all sorts of technology. He traveled to and through the majority of the U.S., with Arizona and Florida being his favorite two states.
He is survived by his parents: Dianna (Steve) Powell and Ronald (Mary Ann) Larsen brothers and sisters: Christina Larsen (Bill) Riva of Canon City, Colo., Brooke Larsen (Ryan) Eivins of Canon City, Colo., Jonathan (Mandie) Larsen of Orem, Utah, William Larsen of Nashville, Tenn., Steven Larsen of Cedar City, Utah, Scott Larsen of Salt Lake City, Utah, Timothy Larsen of Castle Dale, Utah, Mark Larsen of Salt Lake City, Utah, Shinia Powell of Castle Dale, Utah, Jacob Powell of Castle Dale, Utah, Michelle (Tim) Cundiff of Kent, Wash., Chantelle (John) Elswood of Eagle Mountain, Utah, Stephen Jr. (Jacey) Powell of Nephi, Utah, Tara (Chris) Craig of Midland, Texas, and Seth (Karlee) Powell of Springville, Utah; and many other family and friends whose lives he has influenced and will miss him dearly.
He is preceded in death by his uncles: Don Weeks and William Weeks.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Castle Dale Stake Center (10 East Main – Castle Dale, Utah). Gathering prior to the services at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Orangeville City Cemetery.
