FERRON – Our loving son, brother, and longtime friend, Wills Philip Wareham, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Nov. 19, 2013, after a short battle with cancer.
Wills was born Oct. 3, 1953, in Kremmling, Colo., to Kenneth Ray and Maribelle Brown Wareham.
He graduated from Emery High School, Dixie College, and attended Utah State University completing studies in animal science.
Wills was a proud member of the United Mine Worker’s of America and recently retired from Consolidation Coal Company. He was a tireless worker who enjoyed farming and ranching and had great compassion and love for animals. Wills had a huge heart and treasured the simple things in life.
He was a very tender and giving individual, loyal to his family and friends, and was always willing to help anyone in need. He was an example of honesty and integrity and will be sorely missed by his family and many treasured friends that had the pleasure to know him.
Wills was married to Josie Downs, Shari Ekins, and Linda Griffiths; later divorced. He is survived by his mother, Maribelle Wareham, Ferron; brother Kit (Alma) Wareham, Cedar City and sister Ginger (John) Wiscombe, Price; nieces and nephews, Clinton Wiscombe, Rebecca (Scott) Portlock, Cassidy (Jeremy) Hymas, Jordan, Trae, and Mac Wareham, Kelsey Wareham, Myra Wareham, and Logan Wareham who unselfishly cared for Wills and his beloved animals during his short illness. Wills is also survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father earlier this year and infant son, Dana Wills Wareham.
Friends and family were invited to share in a celebration of Wills’ life Friday evening, Nov. 22, 2013, 7 p.m. at the Ferron Stake Center (555 South 400 West), preceded by a visitation at 6 p.m. Graveside services were held Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, 11 a.m. at the Ferron City Cemetery.
The family wishes to extend their sincere appreciation for the support of so many friends and neighbors during this difficult time with a special thanks to Lisa Day, Sandy Jensen, and the caring staffs of Symbii Home Health Care and Hospice and the Emery County Care Center.
