HUNTINGTON – On June 7, 2013 our beautiful, courageous and loving wife, mother, daughter, sister and friend, Mollie Mevonne Cunningham Jones age 35, returned home to our Heavenly Father.
She was born to Lana Holmes and Dennis Cunningham on Sept. 8, 1977 in Price, Utah. On Sept. 19, 2008 Mollie married Keith Jones, they were best friends, sweethearts, and the love they shared for each other and the children will last forever. Her children, Tyler and Deryka were the loves of her life. She was second mom to Staci and Heather and loving grandma to Jaxon and Olivia. She was also claimed by many of her children’s friends as a second mom due to her natural ability to relate to them.
Mollie was a strong, caring, and proud woman, rarely complaining about her ailments in life. She loved being a part of the PTA and strived to make schools a better place for everyone’s children. She loved working with children at RISE and Headstart. Her smile and laughter was contagious and she had a fun sense of humor that her family and friends loved. Mollie had the ability to see the best in all around her. Mollie worked very hard, and with such great love for her Heavenly Father, to go through the Manti Temple to receive her endowment. This experience enriched her life and her love for the Savior Jesus Christ. It filled her spirit with such joy for Heavenly Father’s plan that all those around her felt it. Her greatest desire is to be sealed in the temple to her loving family.
She is survived by husband Keith Jones; children, Tyler and Deryka Dasch; mother, Lana (Bud) Holmes of Huntington; father, Dennis Cunningham of Tooele; sisters, Deana (Bret) Ballow of Levan, Candy (Sam) Woodruff of Tooele; stepdaughters, Staci (Jared) Bertagnolli of Texas, Heather Jones of Price; grandchildren Jaxon and Olivia of Texas; step brothers Ty (Marlo) Holmes of Lehi, Justin (Lisa) Holmes of Orem, Lec (Kim) Holmes of Lehi; step-sister Paige Holmes of Salt Lake City; mother in law, Carole Jones of Castle Dale; sister-in-law, Katherine Jones of Castle Dale; nephews, Jesse and Boden Ballow of Levan, Duke Cruz of Tooele, Cory Roach of Midvale; nieces, Taelyn Ballow of Levan, Chasity (Dillin) Woolley of Tooele, Lacy Cunningham of Tooele, Savannah (Justin) Cottam of Price; uncles, aunts, and friends.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Phineas and Deane Cook, Delmar and Ella Cunningham; father-in-law, Ramal Jones; uncle, Jerrold Cook; aunt, Terri Cook.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Dr. Epphic, Lori, Kelly, Greg Farr and UVRC’s ICU and 3rd floor dialysis, as well as a deep appreciation to Dana Conway for her donation of a Good Samaritan kidney.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 14, 2013 at the Huntington Stake Center at 11 am. A viewing will be held Thursday, June 13, 2013 at the Huntington Stake Center from 7-9 p.m. A viewing will also be held from 9:30-10:30am prior to the funeral.
