Beloved husband of Verla Brown Dye, devoted father of three daughters, Verla Richaun Knight, Lori Ann Kennedy, and Alyce Vivian Kennington.
Richard passed away Feb. 27, 2013, one day before his 80th birthday.
He was born Feb. 28, 1933 in Kimball Idaho, the first child of Burton C. Dye and Vivian Frandsen Dye. At the age of seven he moved with his family to Elmo Utah, where he spent the rest of his childhood working hard to help his parents run a farm and take care of the animals and his younger siblings. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, 43 grandchildren, and 32 great-grandchildren. In addition, he leaves behind his brothers, Kenny, Mike, Denzil,and Perry as well as his sisters, Ilene, Karen, Donna, Mary, and Nona. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Lloyd, and sisters, Naomi and Evelyn.
Funeral services were held at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 1950 East 10600 South in Sandy, Utah at 2:30 PM on Saturday, March 2, 2013.
