Local attorney Mark H. Tanner was recently honored by the Parental Defense Alliance of Utah as the Attorney of the Year for lifetime achievement. The award acknowledges Tanner’s service over many years to parents involved in the juvenile court system and the Division of Child and Family Services. Tanner is regularly involved in representing parents working with DCFS to reunify their families after challenging circumstances. Tanner also currently serves as president of the Southeastern Utah Bar Association. He is district commissioner for the Tavaputs District of the Boy Scouts of America. He and his wife Nanette are the parents of 10 children and reside in Orangeville, Utah.
