Orangeville/Price: Hazel LaRae Erickson, age 78 passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 7, 2014 in Price, Utah. LaRae was born Jan. 29, 1936 in Brigham City, Utah. She was one of four children born to Vernon and Margret Carter Leetham. She married Joel Hyrum Erickson in March of 1960 in Nevada. Joel passed away Oct. 28, 2006.
LaRae served as the President of the Resident Council at Pinnacle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. LaRae’s greatest love was her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Joel (Judie) Erickson of Moroni, Utah, Ray Erickson of Surprise, Ariz., Becky Erickson of Mesa, Ariz., Karen (Seth) Manning of Orangeville, Utah, Brent (Debbie) Campbell of Aurora, Colo., Terry (Linda) Campbell of Monticello, Ind., Jeff (Connie) Erickson of Bethel, Pa., Jed (Heidi) Erickson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Kenneth Erickson of Colorado Springs, Colo., Joy (James) Vath of Arizona, Tashia Erickson of Denver, Colo., Brenda Rivest of Ferron, Utah and Josh Erickson of Denver, Colo.; special companion, Moyne Hidy of Price, Utah; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brother, Ken (Marilyn) Leetham, of Utah, and sister-in-law, Val Leetham of Utah.
LaRae was preceded in death by her parents, husband , sons, Jess and Fred and two brothers, Darrell and Reed Leetham.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale. A viewing was held on Monday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the Mortuary.
