Nanette Tanner is a multi-talented woman. Nanette has evidenced a gift for being many wonderful things to many people. Her father Delile Hinkins was born in Rains, in the mountains above Helper, and her mother Elda Luke was born in Ferron. Delile and Elda made their home in Orangeville, where Nanette was raised. She has always loved the people of Emery and Carbon Counties and has strived to give back to her community.
Nanette is the mother of 10 children. Nanette taught first grade in Cleveland and Kindergarten in Huntington. At that time she also worked in her husband Mark’s law office and kept his books. As the children came along she focused on them, but never left Mark without her skilled assistance as a bookkeeper. Nanette went back to school in 1999 to earn a degree in mortuary science and became a licensed funeral director.
Nanette built and started Heritage Funeral Home in Huntington in 2009 and opened its satellite office in Price in January 2014. Heritage Home is celebrating five years in funeral service. The families she has served offer great praise for the care and concern she gives every person who has experienced the loss of a loved one. Heritage Home takes pride in providing compassionate, competent and complete care. Those they serve constantly comment on Nanette’s personal accessibility, the beauty and peacefulness of the facilities, the competence and ability of the staff, and the tranquility that comes from being served at Heritage Funeral Home. Nanette is vigilant to make sure that the families who come to Heritage Funeral Home receive only the very best attention and care.
As a funeral director, her business acumen, attention to detail, and love for people produce the care, comfort and quality she is known for. At the time of a family’s greatest loss, Nanette desires to help those left behind celebrate the lives of those who go before.
