ORANGEVILLE-Alan Eugene Lemons, age 66, passed away on Sept. 29, 2014. He was born on June 10, 1948 in Loganport, Indiana to Violet (Viktora) and George Thomas Lemons. He married Barbara Worthen on April 15, 1972 and sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on April 13, 1973.
Alan unexpectedly passed away at his home. He will be deeply missed by those who knew him. He was a spiritual giant and had numerous church callings, where he served diligently in them. He loved to go camping with his family; he enjoyed teaching his grandsons how to be hard workers. He was retired from the coal mine and was working as a teacher’s aide at Canyon View Junior High, where he loved the students and faculty that he worked with. One of his favorite past times was making baked goods for friends and family. His world revolved around his eternal companion Barbara.
He is survived by his wife Barbara, of Orangeville, Utah, daughters: Kimberly (Philip) Dulude of Orangeville, Utah, Cindy (Brian) Dulude of Salt Lake City, Utah, three handsome grandsons: Gregory, Tyson and Damon. Also survived by his sister, Cheryl Spears of Price, Utah, niece Jennifer, and nephew Jeffery Spears
Preceded in death by his parents, George and Violet Lemons, brother, Gregory Thomas Lemons and great-niece, Autumn Davis and many other great aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Orangeville LDS Chapel (45 West 100 South.) A viewing will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale (720 North Center Street) and on Thursday from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in the Orangeville City Cemetery. Services are in the care of Fausett Mortuary. Family and friends may sign the guestbook and share memories of Alan at www.fausettmortuary.com.
