Paul David Richards, 46, passed away Sept. 9, 2014 at his home in Central Valley, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Aug. 22, 1968 in Granger, Utah to David Glen and Vay Ann Beagley Richards. He married Karen Robertson, Sept. 11, 1992 in Orangeville, Utah. The marriage was solemnized Sept. 9, 2000 in the Manti Temple.
Paul enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, 4 wheeling and anything else he could do outdoors and with his family. He loved his wife and kids more than anything in the world and was always proud of them.
He enjoyed carpentry work and did all the finish work on the Aaron Spelling Mansion in California and the finish work on the Bountiful Utah Temple.
He had more fun the last three years since his diagnosis, going with and visiting Kirk and Angie, spending time with Mike, Jill and Scott. One of his best friends and best times was in the mountains with his boys and Kelly. He also enjoyed going for ice cream with his girls. He never complained or asked “why me?”. He was a valiant soldier who will be deeply missed.
Paul is survived by his eternal sweetheart, Karen; children, Travis James (Ashley Branch) Richards, Kodey Cloyd Richards, Shaylee Sarah Richards, Emilee VayAnn Richards; and baby Richards in April 2015; parents; grandpa George Beagley; siblings: Scott Richards, Angela (Kirk) Rhodes, Brian Richards, Sandra (Gary) Carter, Nancy (Rick) Webb, Jeff Richards, Jill (Mike) Louderback; Parents-In-Law: Cloyd and Merlene Robertson; Brothers and sisters-In-Law: Kelly Robertson, Kurt (Carrie) Robertson, Kathy (Robert) Baker; special aunt, Wilma Thomas; close friend and cousin, Tamra Thomas; special niece, Tory Baker, who assisted with Paul’s care while on hospice. Also numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Richards, Robertson and Hansen; grandma Beagley, uncle Sheldon Thomas and special friend, Gary Stevens.
Funeral services were held on Friday, Sept. 12, 2014 at 12:00 Noon in the Central 1st LDS Ward Chapel. Friends called at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 or at the ward chapel in Central on Friday morning from 10:30 to 11:30.
