LAWRENCE- Our wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Mary Arlene Dixon Jensen, age 76 passed away Sept. 11, 2014 at home.
She was born June 2, 1938 in her beloved Kenilworth, Utah to James and Annie Davis Dixon. Mary loved growing up in Kenilworth and often returned to reminisce with friends and dwell on her childhood memories.
Mary was a longtime resident of Carbon and Emery Counties, who eventually married her sweetheart, Donald Alvin Jensen on Oct. 11, 1985 in Phoenix, Ariz. They spent several years in Arizona before returning to the family home in Lawrence.
Mary was a lady of warmth and beauty who enjoyed sharing her talents with everyone. She loved quilting, crafts, painting and her home was filled with her many talents. She lived and loved life to the fullest and her laughter could brighten anyone’s day. Mary loved traveling and was always ready for a quick trip to Mesquite or Las Vegas. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survived by her loving husband, Donald A. Jensen, Lawrence; sister, JoAnne Flory, St. George; brother, Bob (Christy) Dixon, Oregon; children, Tonia (Doug) Barth, Phoenix, AZ, Ellen (Tracy) Allred, Price, Walter (Ginger) Jensen, Lawrence, Judd (Kathy) Jensen, Glendale, Ariz; 11 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.
Preceded in death by her parents; son, Kevin Thomas; brothers, Jimmy, Ruben and Thomas Dixon; and sisters, Rene and Gladys.
Graveside service, Friday, Sept. 19, 2014, 2 p.m. Price City Cemetery.
