Emery swim hosts Carbon High swim team

The Emery High swim teams hosted the Carbon Dinos last week in a dual meet at the Emery Aquatic Center in Castle Dale. The Emery boys won 158-114 while the Carbon girls won 154-131. For the Emery girls, Madi Allinson and Laryssa Guymon each won two individual events plus they swam on a winning relay team. For the Emery boys, Kelven Childs won two events.
Madi won 200-yard IM and the 100-yard backstroke while Guymon won the 100-yard breaststroke and the 100-yard butterfly. Both were on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team along with Chyanne Carter and Kaitlyn Carter. Childs won the 100-yard butterfly race and the 100-yard breaststroke event.
For the Carbon boys, Joseph Keller and Earl Kaden each won two individual events plus they were members of a winning relay team. Keller won the 200-yard IM and the 500-yard freestyle while Earl won the 50-yard freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle. Both were members of the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team along with Ryan Atwood and Tyson Swasey.
Other individual winners for the Carbon girls were Suparada Chaobol in the 200-yard freestyle, Sadie Crompton in the 50-yard freestyle, Susannah Ohlwiler in the 100-yard freestyle and Veronica Ibanez in the 500-yard freestyle.
For the two boy’s teams, Emery’s Devin Wilson won the 100-yard backstroke and Carbon’s Tyson Swasey won the 200-yard freestyle.
The Carbon girls’ team of Addy Olsen, Sadie Crompton, Ibanez and Kaisha Lott won the 200-yard medley relay and the Carbon team of Olson, Lott, Crompton and Chaobol won the 200-yard freestyle relay race.
The Emery boys’ team of Wilson, Zac Fauver, Daryl Guymon and Alex Stilson won the 200-yard medley relay and the team of Guymon, Fauver, Dakota Wright and Kayden Parkins won the 200-yard freestyle relay race.
The two winning teams outscored their opponents because of the depth of the teams in placing swimmers.
