Miss Cleveland will preside over Cleveland Days

The Miss Cleveland Pageant was held on June 12. Thomas Sitterud was the master of ceremonies for the evening. The contestants were introduced and competed in categories according to their ages. The judges for the event were Heather Atwood, Lisa Johnson and Emily Huntington. In the Tiny Tot category Brooklyn O’Neil performed a dance/gymnastics routine to Lollypop. Maycin Sitterud and Kaybree Jensen also performed dances.
In the Little Miss category Jabry Sharp performed a dance to Move It.
In the princess category Kylee Cunningham performed a dance and Madison Mann performed a dance for her talent.
In the Junior Miss category, Kaili Merrell performed a lyrical dance.
There were two contestants in the Miss Cleveland division. Bayler Griffin performed the song, Hallelujah and Chyanne Carter performed a humorous skit she wrote herself.
The contestants were escorted by their fathers, brothers or a friend for the evening wear/party dress portion of the competition. Each contestant was asked an on-stage question. “If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go?”
Brooklyn O’Neil said she would go camping, because it’s fun. Kaybree Jensen said she would go camping because it’s fun. Maycin Sitterud said she would like to go to Africa to see the elephants.
Jabry Sharp said she would like to go to Hawaii and see the beach.
Kylie Cunningham would like to go to Italy because she has family there.
Madisyn Mann said she would like to see the great wall of China.
Kaili Merrell said she would like to tour Europe.
Bayler Griffin hopes to go to California to surf and to meet hot guys who can teach her how to surf.
Chyanne Carter would like to go to Venice to see the art the city has to offer.
After the categories were complete the royalty for 2013 performed for the audience and made their final walks. Kaitlyn Saling the 2013 Miss Cleveland sang, “On my Own.”
The winners were announced: Tiny Tot: Maycin Sitterud, Junior Miss, Kaili Merrell, Princess-Madisyn Mann; Miss Cleveland-Bayler Griffin; Little Miss-Jabry Sharp and Miss Congeniality-Chyanne Carter.
Thomas Sitterud thanked everyone for coming and for the decorations and pageant committee members work in putting the pageant together.
