Receives National Recognition as AAPA Distinguished Fellow
Distinguished Fellow Program Salutes Kim McFarlane for Going “Above and Beyond” In Service to Community and the Profession
Kim McFarlane, MPAS, PA-C, has been recognized as a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physicians Assistants. Kim practices Family Medicine at Green River Medical Center and has been a Physician Assistant for 16 years. He is a graduate of the University Physician Assistant Program. He is employed by Green River Medical Center and has worked with Dr. Glori Allen for the past nine years.
Kim McFarlane, MPAS, PA-C earned the recognition due to his outstanding contributions to patient care and the profession during his years as a physician assistant (PA). He also demonstrated significant dedication and involvement in the community of Green River.
In addition to his service in Green River, he serves a clinical faculty at the University of Utah and other PA programs. He is a member of the Utah Disaster Medical Assistance Team. He also is an Instructor for the American Heart Association in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
All Distinguished Fellows of AAPA have demonstrated exceptional contributions to their communities and a commitment to all aspects of healthcare.
Physician assistants are licensed health professionals who practice medicine as members of a team with their supervising physicians. PAs deliver a broad range of medical and surgical services to diverse populations in rural and urban settings. As part of their comprehensive responsibilities, PAs conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illnesses, order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health care, assist in surgery, and prescribe medications.
