A black bear entered the town of Elmo on Sunday and gave residents a scare.
The Division of Wildlife Resources and the Emery County Sheriff’s Office were on hand to get the bear under control.
The DWR tried tranquilizing the bear but it was not effective. The bear ended up being put down. The bear was quite vicious and mean and he killed one dog that tried to get it under control and one other dog was injured.
