Wellington-Marietta Larsen Henrie, age 93, passed away peacefully on July 23, 2014 in Price, Utah. She was born Sept. 20, 1920 in Wellington to Austin Alonzo Larsen and Millie Jessen Larsen.
Marietta grew up in Wellington where she met and married her sweetheart, James Wyler Henrie on April 20, 1940 in Price, Utah. They were both very hard workers and spent the majority of their married life running either a farm or dairy. Marietta enjoyed working with her hands. She loved crocheting, knitting, sewing, quilting – anything she could do to share her talents with her family. For many years she was well known for her beautiful wedding cakes. You never went away from her home hungry; she always had something wonderful cooking or baking. She enjoyed being a homemaker and her family always came first. James died on June 25, 2005.
Marietta was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She honored her heritage by being active in the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers, and serving as President for three years.
She is survived by her oldest son, Jimmy (Diane) Henrie of Wellington, daughter-in-law, Donna Broadbent Henrie of Mountain View, Wyo.; grandchildren: Jayme (Ross) Sacco, Stacy (Scott) Fincher, Shaunna (Scott) Barney, Jason (Shanelle) Henrie, Deborah (Marcus) Bott, Bryan Henrie, Brett (Stacy) Henrie, Keith Henrie, Brazure (Kristy) Henrie and Claude (Jill) Henrie; 29 great-grandchildren. Brothers, Tommy (Helen) Larsen, Delon (Holly) Larsen and Wade (Linda) Larsen, and sister, Rhea Timothy.
