HUNTINGTON – Lorraine Leroy Sitterud Campbell, age 84, passed away peacefully at home, May 13, 2015. She was born May 18, 1930 in Huntington, Utah, to Theo and Katie Guymon Leroy. She married Douglas O. Sitterud Aug. 1, 1950 in Huntington. He passed away in a coalmine accident on Jan. 29, 1973. She married Eugene P. Campbell on Mar. 15, 1974 in Huntington. She was blessed to have loved two wonderful men.
She had a special talent for sewing and quilting. She made many beautiful quilts for her family members. She and Gene loved to travel, and they made many trips around the United States and Canada.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She loved all her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gene Campbell, children: Lannie (Glenys) Sitterud, Emery, Lorrie (Robert) Denison, Huntington, Carl (Jodi) Sitterud, Cleveland, Wendy (the late Dale) Black, Huntington; stepchildren: David (Karen) Campbell, N.M, Patti (Paul) Jensvold, Ohio, Debbie (Rick) Campbell, Colo., Brian (Jamie) Campbell, Ga., Robert “Jeep” (Shannon) Campbell, USA, Teri (James) Bladen, Ohio; 19 grandchildren, and 36 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by husband Douglas O. Sitterud; brothers: Newell Leroy, Dan Leroy, Blake Leroy; sisters: Mretta Leroy, Theone Anderson, Oral Guymon, Ruth Taylor, Edna Leroy, and Katy Leroy.
A viewing was held Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Heritage Funeral Home, 620 North Main in Huntington, Utah from 6 – 8 p.m. Funeral services were held Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Huntington Stake Center at 11 a.m., with a viewing from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. prior to service.
