The tastiest competition at the Fair! Cupcake Combat had 21 participants and four age groups and prizes for all who entered. This year was a spice challenge so each age group was given a spice to use. All age groups were also challenged to use the secret ingredient which was Marshmallow. It was really fun to see how the bakers made their tasty creations.
The Jetsons: Age group 11 and Younger was challenged to use vanilla. Winner was: Jesse Simmons.
Star Wars: Age group 12-18 was challenged to use Nutmeg. Winner was: Madisyn Mann.
Trekkies: Age group: 19-54 was challenged to use Cinnamon. Winner was: Tabitha Kelly
Twilight Zone: Age group: 55 and older was challenged to use Ginger: Winner was: Barbara West.
Cupcake combat gave prizes out to all contestants. Changes for next year will include: The adult age group will change from 18-54…to 18-39. So our Senior division will be 40 and older.
2016 will be a color challenge. Each age group will be assigned a color, and the secret ingredient will be cream cheese. So say cheese and smile and bakers prepare for combat 2016.
The following day we had Cupcake Combat games. There was eating contests, cupcake decorating, cupcake walk, and cupcake coloring….all Free! It was a great time! “We are looking forward to Cupcake Combat Games next year as well,” said event organizer Roxanne Jensen.
