The motto at the new coffee shop is “This coffee shop runs on great coffee and positive mental attitude.”
Angie Barton is the owner of the shop and she said, “I always wanted to start a coffee shop and I wanted to start it here, because we don’t have one on this side of Emery County and I think we need one. I have a friend in Payson that has a coffee shop called Joe Coffee Shop and Espresso, I have patterned my business after hers. I used her business model and she trained me. Some people say our coffee is better than Starbucks. We serve quality products. The coffee we serve here is the same as they serve at Joe’s coffee shop. Our coffee comes from Caffe Ibis out of Logan, they import the coffee beans and they are roasted in the Logan business. It’s an award winning Utah based company.
“They buy coffee beans from around the world including, Peru, Guatemala, Colombia and other places and it’s roasted in Logan.
“One of our popular items is the espresso latte and the smoothies and sandwiches, too. You can also get any of our coffee drinks hot over ice and blended. You can call in an order and we’ll deliver it out to you in your car. You can also call in an order and we’ll deliver to your office in the Castle Dale/Orangeville area. We can cater events and bring airpots of coffee for your business and sandwiches. Our phone number is 381-MUSE, or 381-6873. The coffee shop also offers a large variety of decaf options and custom drinks,” said Barton.
The Emery County Business Chamber helped welcome the new business to town with a ribbon cutting. Jared Anderson, chamber president said, “The turkey/avocado bagel sandwiches are pretty awesome. Angi’s husband Greg, works for Emery Telcom as an install and repair technician. Angie is also a teacher at Cottonwood Elementary. We would like to welcome their new business and wish them much success.”
The Bartons have two children Luke 9 months old and Wyatt 3 years old. The employees at the new business include: Brittany Cox, Jacee Day and McKahl Johnson.
“We’re happy to be here,” added Angie.
The chamber board and employees gathered outside the business and Angie was presented with a welcome plaque from the chamber and she cut the ribbon. Everyone is welcome to come and stop by and try out what the new coffee shop has to offer. You’ll be glad you did. The business is located in Castle Dale right next to Tyler Jeffs Farm Bureau Financial at 35 West Main Street. The two story building is set-back off the road and the coffee house is on the lower level.
