March 25 marked the beginning of efforts to improve the appearance of the welcome sign at Green River’s east entrance. The repainting of the sign and installation of new landscaping features around it is a project goal for the Green River Improvement Team, a local beautification group.
Joining the GRIT members were several volunteers from the Outward Bound program. The group was in Green River for less than one day but made a big difference through their work. The sign project is one small part of GRIT’s overall effort to improve Green River’s appearance. Thanks to all who devoted their time and energy and helped make the cleanup event a success.
