A fundraiser will be held for Averie Ward on Sept. 12. It will be hosted by the Emery County Sheriff’s Office. It will begin at 6:30 a.m. at Ferron Elementary. It will be a 5K walk or run. Cost is $20. You can also donate if you can’t run that day at the Emery County Sheriff’s Office or Emery Telcom.
Averie has been diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and she has undergone surgery.
Her father Brent is a deputy at the Emery County Sheriff’s Office. Jodie Ward is a teacher at Ferron Elementary and they make their home in Ferron. They have two daughters and are expecting a new baby in December. Come out and support this family in their time of need.
