Willi Drawe is from Green River and is in the court system for allegedly sexually assaulting two victims. His date of birth is Aug. 11, 1940.
Emery County Deputy Attorney Brent Langston said Drawe is involved in two cases with two different victims. After the first case was filed another victim came forward.
Attorney Langston said they are involved in negotiations. He has talked to the parents of the victims and they are working to resolve the case.
Charges have also been filed in Duchesne County against Drawe. Currently the court system is looking at addressing the Duchesne County case along with the Emery County case.
Attorney Langston said they are reviewing the evidence in the second case and trying to reach a plea in abeyance agreement. They are still meeting on the case.
Charges against Drawe are aggravated sexual abuse of a child by a person of trust a first degree felony.
The second case is a different victim.
Drawe will be in court again on Dec. 15 and Attorney Langston thinks the case will be resolved at that time.
It’s not known at this time what the sentence will be. Drawe will be required to register on the sex offender website. He will be on supervised probation by the Adult Probation and Parole. He would be required to have no contact with young girls. Attorney Langston said there are a number of requirements he would have to follow under the sex offender group A requirements. He would be required to complete a sex offender treatment program. Drawe could also face jail or prison time.
Drawe’s case was continued from the Dec. 1 court calendar.
Drawe will be in court on Dec. 15 on two counts of aggravated sexual abuse of a child by a person in a position of trust.
He will also be in court on the second case, one count of aggravated sexual abuse of a child, five separate acts.
Drawe is currently in the Emery County jail. Penalty for a first degree felony is five to life in prison.
