The Emery County Progress is celebrating its 115th birthday in 2015. At the Utah Press Association awards banquet held in St. George the Progress came home with several awards. The Progress placed second with the best staff produced ROP ad campaign; third place in the best use of a color ad; third place in the best feature story which was a story written by Patsy Stoddard, editor, on the trek of Castle Dale Mayor Danny VanWagoner along the Way of St. James in Italy.
The Progress placed third for best sports page; second place for Best in House self promotion. The Progress placed first for Best Advertising Idea and first place for the Best Sports Column written by sports writer Gary Arrington.
