The Emery High golf team competed last Wednesday at the region 15 tournament held at the Carbon Country Club in Price. Coach Kevin Reynolds was not happy with the results. “We were awful, we had the worst scores that this team has shot in ages.” The Emery team finished dead last as nobody brought their game on the course. Coach Reynolds didn’t want to discuss individual scores but everybody played poorly. The good thing is that the region meet did not change anything for the 2-A state tournament that will be held starting this Wednesday at Soldier Hollow Golf Course in Heber valley. Emery still finished third in region behind Grand and Manti. Grand is the favorite to win the whole thing. Golfers who played at region includes Kyler Farley, Race Nielson, Deryk Fuller, Oakley Toomer, Shaidyn Killpack and McKoy Holt.
